Anne Hathaway, 43, looked stunning in a stylish black ensemble as she headed to an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday. The star proudly displayed her baby bump in a ruffled, sleeveless top with a plunging neckline and a flared hem, paired with relaxed wide-leg pants and peep-toe heels. Her brunette hair cascaded past her shoulders in subtle waves, and she completed the look with sunglasses and layered gold jewelry.
Hathaway’s appearance followed her red carpet walk at the LA premiere of her upcoming film The End of Oak Street the day before, where she wore a sheer dress with red lining. This outfit highlighted her baby bump, sparking an online debate about its authenticity. One social media user commented, "Bump looks fake to me. I don't know what it is, but it just looks fake," while another added, "Idk if it's the shape or her belly button but it looks fake." A third person chimed in, "I'm sorry, but that belly to me looks like the one you can get off Amazon. I'm just saying."
Fans quickly came to Hathaway’s defense, with one calling her the "hardest-working pregnant person in Hollywood," and another sharing, "The cutest bump…it's so important seeing working moms and celebrating growing humans." Hathaway herself addressed the speculation in an Instagram video showing her preparing for the premiere with makeup artists and hair stylists, quipping in the caption, "Fake hair, real bump."
The Odyssey star is expecting her third child with her husband, Adam Shulman, with whom she shares sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, seven. She announced her pregnancy on Instagram on June 19 with a clip of her holding her pregnant belly, set to Barbara Lewis's "Baby, I'm Yours." Hathaway shared that her third pregnancy felt different due to her growth as a mother. "You know, I was in my 30s with my other two, and I'm so different now…something happened when I turned 40," she explained. "I just realized that this isn't a dress rehearsal. It's all real. I'm not, like, saving it up for my future self. It's all happening right now. And so I think I'm just better at being present in the moment, living in gratitude, not taking anything for granted."
Hathaway has had a busy year, leading five films: The Devil Wears Prada 2, Mother Mary, The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street, and Verity. She credits her intense schedule to the unwavering support of her husband, Adam Shulman, whom she has been married to for almost 14 years. "He supports me completely. This year in particular was unusual. He and I both know that it's probably never going to happen like this again," she said. "And the way he stepped up, I mean, in every possible way, he's the most extraordinary person I've ever met." She added, "It's one thing to have dreams. It's another thing to have somebody who helps you achieve them. I absolutely would not be able to have achieved what I've done without my husband."
