Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are officially husband and wife! The renowned Portuguese professional football player and the Argentine-Spanish model, who have been together for a decade, quietly tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11, 2026. The couple announced their marriage on social media, sharing a photo of their hands adorned with gold wedding bands and Georgina's significant engagement ring, both dressed in white.
This special day marks exactly one year since Georgina first announced their engagement on August 11, 2025. Their wedding announcement quickly garnered immense attention, receiving over two million likes within the first 20 minutes of posting, with fans flooding the comments with well wishes such as, "Wishing you the most beautiful married life," "Wishing you both a happy life together!" and "Our Goat! Congratulations."
Ronaldo, 41, and Georgina, 32, share a blended family of six children. Ronaldo welcomed his first child, Cristiano Jr., in 2010 via a surrogate. Cristiano Jr. is now following in his father's footsteps as a football player. In 2017, Ronaldo welcomed twins Mateo and Eva, also through a surrogate. Later that year, in November 2017, Ronaldo and Georgina celebrated the birth of their first child together, a daughter named Alana. Georgina considers all six children her own.
In October 2021, the couple announced they were expecting twins in April 2022. Tragically, they experienced the devastating loss of their baby boy on the day he and his sister, Bella, were born. Georgina has previously described the early days of her relationship with Ronaldo as a "very special start" in her Netflix series, I Am Georgina. She recalled Ronaldo's flashy gestures, including him arriving at her workplace in a Bugatti, which left her coworkers astonished. Georgina was also by Ronaldo's side at the 2022 World Cup when Portugal was eliminated by Spain, where Ronaldo revealed it would be his final World Cup appearance.
