Composer Viktor Drobysh, preparing for his anniversary concert, categorically denies the possibility of a new "Prima Donna" appearing on the Russian stage. In his opinion, neither Lolita, nor Valeria, nor other female artists will be able to take the place of Alla Pugacheva, who currently resides abroad.

Drobysh, who has worked in show business for over 30 years, explains his position as follows: "I immensely love Lolita, but why should she be made the main one? She herself will say: 'Go away, all of you.' Why make Valeria a Prima Donna? She was, is, and will remain Valeria forever." He also mentioned Philip Kirkorov, calling him the "king of pop music," but stressed that all these titles are "husk."

Viktor Yakovlevich sees no point in assigning labels and titles invented by the people to artists. He believes that such questions should be closed once and for all. "Is it necessary to choose? For me, it's like choosing the director of an underground marmalade factory. I don't understand why someone should be placed above others. It seems to me that all people in the creative field live for music, not for titles," Drobysh stated.

In addition to Lolita and Valeria, Larisa Dolina and Elena Vaenga are also contenders for the title of the new Prima Donna. Drobysh refused to speak about Dolina, but in the case of Vaenga, he recalled how many years ago he helped her become popular. "We went with her from a completely empty hall to sold-out sports palaces... But the decision to end cooperation has a side effect — there are no more packed sports palaces or even halls. The decline in popularity showed that I shouldn't have been sent away. Perhaps people were guided not even by greed, but by vanity: they thought, I did it myself, Drobysh was not even close," the producer muses about his former protégé.
