Marvel star Simu Liu and Allison Hsu have reportedly tied the knot in France, over a year after their engagement in Paris. The news broke on October 6, 2026, at 3:11 AM.

The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star married Hsu after four years of dating. Their wedding reportedly took place in France, the same country where they became engaged in May 2025. Liu, 37, and Hsu, 30, were first linked in November 2022. At that time, Hsu, a digital marketing director for Interscope Records, shared a cozy photo of the two. Days later, on November 29, the couple made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Violent Night in Los Angeles.

Liu has often expressed his affection for Hsu. In August 2023, for her birthday, he shared, “I love you to pieces babe. Whether we’re on another crazy trip to god-knows-where for who-knows-what, or just binging our way through friends at home, there’s simply nothing better than holding your hand. Thanks for never giving up on me.”

The couple announced their engagement with a photo from a Paris balcony, showing Hsu's diamond ring and the caption, “Us forever.” The proposal included a special touch from Taylor Swift. Liu revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in December that Swift's music was significant in the early stages of their relationship. He explained, “My fiancée is a Swiftie. Taylor Swift’s music was a big part of the beginning of our relationship, [because I] was getting to know her through those songs and why they meant so much to her. So I was like, ‘Well, there’s one person that would make this engagement so special.’”

The Barbie actor contacted Swift’s team, asking for a "two-second video" for Hsu. Two days later, he received a clip of Swift congratulating his fiancée on the engagement. Liu joked, “Taylor Swift was the cherry on top. I was like, ‘Wow, I should plan things more often.’” He added that Hsu was deeply moved by the surprise, stating, “She was really emotional before, but when I played that video, she really lost it.”
