Sergey Peregudov's parents saw him as an economist, but fate had other plans. Failing an exam, he rushed to St. Petersburg to conquer the theatrical stage. And, as time showed, he did not miscalculate. On October 6, the actor turned 45, and we recall his difficult path.
Sergey grew up in Nadym, and spent every summer in a Voronezh village with his grandmother. This contrast, according to him, tempered his character. "I have wonderful parents who gave me everything a person needs for life," the artist admitted. He was involved in sports, music, participated in amateur performances, but could not decide on a profession. His parents, seeing his hesitation, sent him to the paid economics faculty of the Volga Humanitarian Institute. However, Adam Smith did not captivate the young man, and after failing mathematics, Sergey made a risky decision: to go to St. Petersburg to enter the theater academy.
Sergey Peregudov's Career
His parents, by the way, supported their son's choice, especially when they learned that he entered SPbGATI on a budget, unlike the paid economics program. In 2004, Peregudov received his diploma and immediately joined the Lensoviet Theater, where he still serves. His roles include performances in "The Elder Son," "King, Queen, Knave," "Dead Souls," and for Rakitin in "We Are All Beautiful People" he even received the "Golden Soffit."
"Theater used to be a real home," Sergey recalls. "Now many people have a lot of other work, filming, part-time jobs - life is accelerating." He began acting in films in the early 2000s, debuting in "Deadly Force" and "Cops Wars." It was the role of Shilova's friend in the latter that brought him recognition; even traffic police officers praised him. "'...Wars' had a strong script, written from the heart. This project is also dear to me because the now deceased Lesha Zavyalov, who died in a parachute accident, filmed there. He was a wonderful person and actor!" Peregudov said with bitterness.
The actor got his first significant role in "Adjutants of Love," playing Grand Duke Konstantin. This was followed by projects "Boar," "Princess and the Pauper," "Kamenskaya," as well as key roles in "Chains," "The Decoy," and "The Last Meeting." Viewers remembered him for the roles of Ignat in "Special Agent - 2," Revyakin in "The Perfect Marriage," Andrey in the series "The Past Knows How to Wait," Oleg in the melodrama "Blues for September." Peregudov was especially often invited to detective stories: "Investigator Tikhonov," "Expect the Unexpected," "Bird in a Cage." In the series "Lady with a Dog," he shared the set with Elena Yakovleva and Alexander Baluev, and the project was compared to a new "Kamenskaya."
"They and Lena are two intelligent and witty actors, belonging to that old acting school. Subtle, elaborate, ironic. I think our series is based on these wonderful qualities. Serafima Solovyova, a young actress, and I tried not to fall flat on our faces," the artist shared. Peregudov himself is often the subject of comparisons: his appearance is often compared to Pavel Derevyanko and Kirill Pletnev. The actor knows both and jokes that Alexey Morozov would fit perfectly into their "quartet," and then they could stage "The Brothers Karamazov." "We are often confused. Sometimes, when people run up to me on the street, I don't even disappoint them anymore, I just accept the compliments," Sergey admitted.
The Actor's Personal Life
Rumors and First Romances
During the filming of "Sonka Golden Hand," Sergey was rumored to be in a romance with Anastasia Mikulchina. "I myself am a loving person. But my feelings for partners faded with the camera off. I generally can hardly imagine that I could fall in love with an actor," the actress commented on the rumors. The next "candidate" for Peregudov's heart was Tatyana Arntgolts, his partner in "Victoria." "We had nothing. Theater institutes teach how to portray love on screen. For this, you need to find in the woman with whom you are playing an intimate scene something for which you can 'love' her," Sergey explained.
Peregudov confessed that he met his first love at 15 - Tatyana was a little older. "In the North, all love ends overnight - when everyone gets their diplomas and goes to different cities to enter institutes. And with Tanya, everything started suddenly and brightly, but ended very quickly. For a whole year after I left, we actively corresponded, literally showering each other with messages - there were no mobile phones then. But time and distance eat everything away," Sergey noted.
Anna Kovalchuk's Charms
Even at the Lensoviet Theater, Sergey Peregudov met Anna Kovalchuk, with whom he later also played in "Secrets of Investigation." When Anna divorced her first husband, intimacy arose between them, but it did not lead to marriage. "To be honest, we were going to get married. But, alas... I won't talk about the reasons, it's not just my secret. Let's just say: the reasons were different... But Anna and I still communicate as colleagues. Soon we will be playing love on stage, rehearsals for a new play are planned for the summer," Sergey shared in 2013.
In subsequent interviews, Peregudov also did not reveal the reasons for the breakup, only noting that their views did not coincide in some ways, and, apparently, fate had decreed it. In 2007, Anna married Oleg Kapustin, and she and Sergey remained friends. "Yes, we had a relationship. But now...
