Prince William
aircraft pilot · polo player · helicopter pilot · aristocrat · philanthropist
Prince William, born William Arthur Philip Louis on June 21, 1982, in London, is the elder son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales. Educated at Eton College and the University of St Andrews, where he earned a degree in Geography, William pursued a military career. He trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served in the Blues and Royals regiment before transferring to the Royal Air Force, where he trained as a search and rescue pilot. He served with the RAF Search and Rescue Force from 2010 to 2013.
Following his military service, Prince William focused on royal duties and charitable work. He is a patron of numerous organizations, including Centrepoint, a charity supporting homeless young people, and the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. He founded the Earthshot Prize, a global environmental award, to incentivize solutions to climate change and environmental challenges. In 2011, he married Catherine Middleton, now the Princess of Wales, and they have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. As the heir apparent to the British throne, Prince William increasingly supports his father in his royal responsibilities.
