Tom Holland

Thomas Stanley Holland (born June 1, 1996) is a British actor, best known for his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born in Kingston upon Thames, London, to photographer Nicola Elizabeth and comedian and author Dominic Holland, he attended Donhead Preparatory School and Wimbledon College. His early interest in dance led him to attend Nifty Feet Dance School in Wimbledon and later the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology.

Holland's career began on stage in 2008, playing Michael in *Billy Elliot the Musical* at the Victoria Palace Theatre. He made his film debut in *The Impossible* (2012), receiving critical acclaim for his performance. His breakthrough came in 2015 when he was cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, first appearing in *Captain America: Civil War* (2016). He has since starred in several Spider-Man films, including *Spider-Man: Homecoming* (2017), *Spider-Man: Far From Home* (2019), and *Spider-Man: No Way Home* (2021), all of which were box office successes.

Beyond Spider-Man, Holland has appeared in films such as *In the Heart of the Sea* (2015), *The Lost City of Z* (2016), *Cherry* (2021), and *Uncharted* (2022). He has also voiced characters in animated films like *Spies in Disguise* (2019) and *Onward* (2020). His performance as Spider-Man has earned him numerous awards and nominations, establishing him as a prominent figure in contemporary cinema.
