Aaron Rodgers has opened up about his post-NFL life, revealing his hopes for a "pregnant wife" by this time next year. The football superstar, who will retire after the 2026 season, shared his excitement for the future in an interview slated to air on Tuesday.

"I’m hopefully going to be supporting my pregnant wife because we’re going to start a family and I am not going to be making a lot of appearances or statements," Rodgers told host Adam Schein in a preview clip, referring to Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio. The 42-year-old added that he's "looking forward to a life of quiet after 22 years in the pros and three in college and getting [his] body healed up and working on a family."

When Schein asked about starting a family, the Pittsburg Steelers star expressed his definite excitement. Rodgers noted he's "having a lot of fun being Uncle Aaron" to his brother's children, adding, "The more I’m around them, the more I get excited and so does the wife about having some of our own." He continued, "I can’t wait for that next chapter of life and all that that entails, and sleepless nights and crying babies and changing diapers and all those things. I’m looking forward to all of it."

Earlier this week, Rodgers made another statement, confirming, "My next chapter in my life is fatherhood. We are not expecting yet, but I cannot wait to be a father." The quarterback previously confirmed during a May press conference that the current NFL season would be his last, telling reporters, "Yes, this is it."

Rodgers secretly tied the knot in June 2025, revealing minimal details about his wife, publicly known as Brittani, or their wedding, other than it happened "a couple months ago." Following the revelation, he blasted the paparazzi for their interest in his wife, stating she is "private" and "doesn’t want to be in the public eye." He ranted on an episode of the "Pat McAfee Show" later that month, "Because I do things in private because I want my personal life to be private, now I’m weird and now the paparazzi is stalking me … trying to get a picture of her." He later described his wife as "incredible" that July.

According to the Daily Mail, Rodgers shared his feelings last year at the Steelers’ training camp, saying, "When you meet the right one and you’re with the right one, your whole world changes in a second. And to have that person that unconditionally loves you behind the sce."
