Harry Styles is facing backlash over a concert ticket for his Together, Together Tour, which features artwork some fans are calling an "eerie nod" to September 11th. The controversial ticket, for his Wednesday, September 9th show at Madison Square Garden, has sparked outrage just two days before the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

A social media user shared an image of the ticket, which depicts a yellow car, seemingly with Styles inside, flying over the Empire State Building and leaving a trail across its spire. This particular ticket is for the seventh night of Styles’ Madison Square Garden residency.

Fans are questioning the decision to use this imagery, especially for a concert in New York City so close to the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. One person commented on the artwork, stating, “putting that on the back the week of 9/11 is f–king insane! it’s cute but i fear that was not a good idea.” Another fan remarked, “A little bold given its 9/11 week in NYC.” Other reactions included “bro that’s wild” and the question, “literally who approved this!?”

This ticket controversy arises as NYC prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks, when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed after two commercial airlines crashed into them. These attacks remain the deadliest terrorist act in United States history.

Styles is currently in the middle of a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden, which began on August 26th and runs until October 31st. He has already performed in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, and Mexico City. After finishing his New York City dates, which are his only stop in the United States on the Together, Together Tour, he is scheduled to head to Australia for shows in Melbourne and Sydney. This tour marks Styles' third solo tour since his departure from One Direction and supports his fourth studio album, 2026’s “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.”

The "Watermelon Sugar" singer also emailed his fans on Wednesday, announcing that he will be revealing 2027 dates for the Together, Together tour on Thursday, September 10th. In the email, he wrote, “When we decided to do the 2026 tour I knew it would be special but what you turned it into was far beyond what I could have imagined. I love playing music, I love being with all of you and being a part of the love and joy you all create together every night.”
