Lyubov Aksenova, known for her meticulous preparation for roles, revealed details of an unusual experiment for the film "Without Me". In the new episode of "Actor's Studio" with Vadim Vernik on VK Video, the actress admitted that for a complete immersion into the character's image, she had to separate from her husband Pavel.
"When I started working on the script, I realized that I live in such a safe world, next to me is a person who loves me unconditionally, and I love him, and at home I feel very relaxed, and I needed to feel a sense of separation," Aksenova explained. She directly told her husband about her desire. Pavel asked how she would be more comfortable. "I said, I want you to leave, because I need his things to be at home and for me to have access to them," the actress recalls.
Aksenova did not know where her husband would live, and they agreed not to call each other. However, after two weeks, the actress's nerves gave out. "For about a week there was preparation, for about a week we were filming — it was difficult filming, at some point I just started calling him at night. We met on Tverskaya and went home," she said.
Despite the difficulties, the actress emphasized that this experience proved invaluable for the filming. Before separating from her husband, she could not fully understand her character's emotions, but after the experiment, she was able to feel the full range of her experiences.
