Singer MakSim (Marina Abrosimova) in Evgenia Medvedeva's podcast for the first time frankly revealed that after a coma she completely lost her hair and was forced to wear wigs. "After the hospital, I had no hair at all, they left me. I haven't talked about this anywhere, but there were many questions about why I was wearing a wig," shared the 43-year-old artist. She added that she did not want to traumatize fans, who were already very worried about her, so she decided not to publicize the problem, but simply wear wigs, although she did not know how to put them on correctly, which made it noticeable.
Recall that in the summer of 2021, MakSim ended up in intensive care with a severe form of pneumonia caused by coronavirus. Lung damage reached more than 80%, and doctors put the singer into a medically induced coma, connecting her to a ventilator. She spent almost two months in a coma, surviving sepsis and two cardiac arrests. During that period, there were rumors about the singer's possible alcohol addiction, which she later confirmed by undergoing a rehabilitation course. However, even after treatment, MakSim's condition remained unstable: she required hospitalization several times, which led to the cancellation of performances. Recently, MakSim admitted that she became addicted to alcohol after a difficult divorce.
Now the singer has fully returned to concert activities and is raising two daughters. The elder, 17-year-old Alexandra, was born in a marriage with sound engineer Alexey Lugovtsov. The younger, 11-year-old Maria, is the daughter of businessman Anton Petrov, who, after a romance with MakSim, married Elizaveta Bryksina, the daughter of a former State Duma deputy.
