Ksenia Sobchak criticized Andrey Burkovsky after his interview with Yuri Dud. The journalist stated that the actor's remarks about her and her husband Konstantin Bogomolov "greatly upset" her.

In her post, Sobchak accused the artist of lying, reminded him of her and Bogomolov's joint work, and explained the meaning of her previous post, where she compared the careers of the emigrated Burkovsky and Yura Borisov.

Sobchak was particularly offended by Burkovsky's account of their meeting in Italy. The journalist claims that she, the actor, and his wife Olga dined twice and talked for a long time, while in the interview, Burkovsky described their meeting as accidental.

“As it turned out from Dud's interview, it was apparently shameful for us to have dinner twice (!). Andrey, are you ashamed of this in front of your new friends, or what? Why lie, especially on such a trivial occasion? What does this say about a person if he is ashamed to say that he dined and spent time with someone 'undesirable'? By the way, you never told any of us during those two long days that Kostya, apparently, does 'something' that deeply offends Andrey Burkovsky,” Sobchak wrote.

In addition, Sobchak condemned Burkovsky for his attitude towards Bogomolov's appointment as rector of the Moscow Art Theatre School. She recalled that the actor worked extensively with the director in Russia, and their joint performances brought him professional success.

“To write, after leaving Russia, about your friend (former, as I understood from the interview), who did so much for you in your profession, with whom you staged so many talented performances that brought you success, is vile. Well, and how? Has the school flourished? Are you satisfied? Tell me, is there anyone in Russia today who works with actors as coolly as Kostya? Answer yourself honestly. I cannot be objective, but you worked with him. Worked a lot,” Sobchak stated.

Separately, Sobchak responded to the actor's words about herself, emphasizing that she has always supported artists building careers abroad. She recalled that "the only speech by Zvyagintsev" was at her award ceremony, and she "cried with happiness at the premiere of 'Leviathan'," and also "wrote a lot about 'Loveless'."

“Accusing me of not being happy for those who have left and are building careers in the West is simply ridiculous, Andrey. I am happy for you too. I was happy. Until I found out that, apparently, we just met on the street by chance,” the journalist emphasized.

In conclusion, Ksenia explained that her post comparing the careers of Burkovsky and Borisov was not a criticism of emigration or learning foreign languages, but a reflection on the "irony of fate":

“My post was about the irony of fate. Like, one person tries and tries, makes statements, has an agenda, but it all turns out in a completely different way. Without all that soup set that is mandatory for many who are leaving.”

“This is what I'm writing about. And I sincerely wish you success in your career and in your path. I am sure that to succeed, it is absolutely not necessary to abandon those people who have done nothing but good for you,” Sobchak summed up.

Andrey Burkovsky, known for the sketch show "Daesh Molodezh", left Russia with his family shortly after the start of the special operation.
