Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the United Kingdom next month, marking the children's first visit since 2022. HELLO! can reveal the family will reside in a royal residence during their stay, though Archie and Lilibet are not slated for any public engagements.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will divide their time between royal and private accommodations. Harry's police protection was withdrawn upon his move to the United States in 2020, and he has previously voiced concerns about bringing his family back to Britain without it. For the past five years, he has been challenging the Home Office in court over this issue and has been awaiting the outcome of a review agreed by the Home Secretary. However, HELLO! understands that the review by RAVEC (the Home Office's Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures) has not yet concluded. Should the family stay at one of the King’s homes, they would fall under existing security arrangements.

Details of Harry and Meghan's itinerary have been released, showcasing a mix of public and private engagements, with gaps that could potentially allow for a reunion with the monarch if his schedule permits. Harry will kick off his trip with an Invictus Games Foundation event at Chatham House, gathering experts, policymakers, and members of the Invictus community to discuss issues affecting wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans. Uganda will also be announced as the 26th nation to join the Games.

The Duke and Duchess will then undertake their first joint engagement in the UK since 2020, meeting Chelsea pensioners at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Following this, Harry will visit the Birmingham Children's Hospital to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first WellChild Nurse. At the National Exhibition Centre, he and Meghan will observe and participate in events alongside former Invictus Games competitors. This event will mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, highlighting the classic and new adaptive sports planned. The Duke will also join bereaved military children supported by Scotty’s Little Soldiers at the Scotty’s Summer Festival at Maxstoke Castle in Warwickshire.

Harry last visited the UK in September, spending time with his father King Charles at Clarence House. Father and son have maintained contact and are widely expected to meet during next month’s visit. Meghan and the children have not been in the UK since the summer of 2022, when they traveled to London for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Archie, now seven, was three at the time, and Lilibet celebrated her first birthday at Frogmore Cottage, the couple’s former Windsor home.
