Raven-Symoné, 40, confessed to regretting the breast reduction surgeries she underwent as a minor, stating, "Do I have any regrets about it? Yes, because I was too young." The That's So Raven alum discussed the two procedures during the Monday, October 5, episode of the "Allure Perspectives" podcast. She elaborated, "I should have gotten it done after puberty. And a lot of other things should have happened, but it was very hastily done. Very well done, I mean, they still look good. But it was hastily done, and I wish I was stronger to say no."
The actress joked about her previously larger chest, saying, "I got into anything! I was first in line. Push these little babies up, they get you anywhere. These triple Ds were popping." Raven-Symoné is also writing a memoir, which she teased during her Thursday, October 30, appearance on the "Sorry We're Cyrus" podcast, stating, "I'm writing a book. It's a memoir. I'm writing a book, but I can't give you everything. The s*** that we went through?"
Raven-Symoné, 39, revealed she is now 80 percent confident in her own skin, a significant improvement from the "10 percent" confidence she felt during her Disney Channel days. "Me and my chest have conversations on the regular," she quipped. She previously discussed her breast reductions, the first occurring when she was 15, during a December 2024 episode of her "Tea Time with Raven & Miranda" podcast with wife Miranda Pearman-Maday. "I went from a triple D all the way down to a B. Someone said I needed to do it in order to get a show," she disclosed, adding that she also had liposuction at the same time. "I was like, 'Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?' And so, I got a twofer," Raven-Symoné explained.
The Raven's Home actress has also expressed her preference for being called Raven-Symoné, noting that being called "Raven" can "trigger" her due to her past experiences on her That's So Raven series. The surgeries led to complications, including a seizure upon waking due to anesthesia and lasting scars. "I have scars. I still have scar tissue to this day," she shared. "And I gained weight after and had to, like, go back for a quick little, like, [get] a little bit more out 'cause [my breasts] were still too big for others’ feelings." Raven-Symoné reflected on how societal views have changed since her youth. "I felt like boys watched the show because I had big boobs," she recalled. "I feel like that was the case. They came for the boobs and stayed for the comedy. There’s this beautiful embracing of the body now that I didn’t get as a young girl."
