Kirill Safonov, the 53-year-old actor, remained in Israel after the official announcement of his divorce from Alexandra Savelieva. The couple, considered one of the most stable in Russian show business, ended their marriage after 17 years together. At the same time, the artist is experiencing not only personal but also career changes.

Safonov and Savelieva married in 2010, and in March 2019, their son Leon was born. In recent years, the spouses lived in two countries: Kirill settled in Israel, where he moved several years ago, while Alexandra continued to build her career in Russia. Currently, their seven-year-old son Leon is with his mother in Moscow. Recently, the former spouses recorded a video message in which they smilingly announced their divorce, emphasizing their desire to maintain warm relations.

Savelieva explained the reasons for the separation: "There was never an open conflict. We are separating not for one reason, but for a combination of them, due to certain moments in our lives. Perhaps we stopped caring for each other specifically as husband and wife… A situation arose where each was in their own career, in their own thoughts, worries, goals, and ideas. It felt like only work united us."

While the singer's affairs are going well, Safonov is actively seeking new projects. He is currently in Riga, rehearsing the play "The Inspector General" under the direction of Sergei Golomazov. In a podcast for the LSM4 channel, the actor shared his feelings: "You know, lately everything has been quite strange for me. Perhaps I gave myself time to rediscover myself. Let's say, I am practically refusing most theater jobs: some things seem too politicized to me, some — uninteresting. I mainly teach. I avoided teaching for a long time for one simple reason: I always believed it was a separate profession. You can be a good or bad actor, but that doesn't matter. Teaching is a completely different responsibility, a different approach, in general, a completely different territory."

Despite all the changes, Safonov does not plan to return to Russia. Ashkelon remains his home, although he and Savelieva now live separately.
