The four-year, $90 million divorce battle between Julia Haart and Silvio Scaglia has finally concluded, with Haart emerging victorious. The former married owners of Elite Models, the agency representing stars like Kendall Jenner and Adriana Lima, have finalized their split after a tumultuous court battle.

The settlement documents reveal explosive claims that Scaglia, who purchased Elite Models in 2011, spent years siphoning cash from the famed firm. He allegedly used company funds to acquire two Bentleys, a Porsche, and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry, among other luxury items.

Scaglia appointed Haart as CEO of Elite Models in March 2019, and the couple married later that year. Their 2022 separation ignited a fierce dispute over control of Elite and its associated companies, with Scaglia accusing Haart of stealing funds. A judge even issued a warrant for the Italian businessman during the dramatic proceedings.

Court papers show that in August, a judge officially dissolved the marriage, awarding 100% of the company and half of the marital assets to Haart, who also stars in the Netflix reality show “My Unorthodox Life.” Haart had hired a forensic accountant to examine company records as part of the divorce, and Scaglia's assistant testified during the hearings.

The court received evidence that Scaglia transferred “tens of millions of dollars to various third parties and entities including payments to himself and his paramour Michelle Marie Heinemann.” Scaglia’s attorneys have previously denied these allegations. The accountant further informed the court that “company funds were used to purchase various luxury automobiles, such as two Bentleys, and a Porsche, as well as luxury jewelry from Van Cleef & Arpels…”

Ultimately, the court determined that Scaglia had allegedly transferred so much money out of the company that its value was equivalent to, or even exceeded, his shares. This led to the decision that Haart should receive full ownership of the business. She will also receive half of the funds Scaglia allegedly withdrew, which his former assistant claims totals over $25 million.

Haart, represented by the divorce law firm Chemtob, Moss, Forman, Breyda, expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am profoundly grateful for the court’s decision awarding me 100% ownership of Elite… and for finally seeing the truth come out after four and a half years.” She accused Silvio Scaglia and his business associates of “destroying [her] reputation,” adding, “He accused me of misappropriating funds and using EWG for my personal benefit; the court found the accusations to be false.”
