Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio, born November 11, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor, producer, and environmental activist. His acting career began with television appearances in the late 1980s, including roles in *Parenthood* and *Growing Pains*. DiCaprio gained critical recognition for his early film roles in *What's Eating Gilbert Grape* (1993), earning his first Academy Award nomination.

DiCaprio achieved international fame with starring roles in *Titanic* (1997) and *Romeo + Juliet* (1996). He has since starred in numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including *Catch Me If You Can* (2002), *The Aviator* (2004), *The Departed* (2006), *Inception* (2010), *The Wolf of Wall Street* (2013), and *The Revenant* (2015).
