NBA star Anthony Edwards is officially off the market, having married his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, on July 16. Minnesota marriage records confirm the union for the Minnesota Timberwolves player.
Speculation about their marital status began last week when Edwards, 24, was spotted in New York City wearing a black band on his ring finger.
Edwards and Jackson, who made their relationship public in 2020, are parents to a 2-year-old daughter named Aislynn.
This wedding follows a highly publicized child support scandal involving Edwards and Ayesha Howard. Edwards has also made headlines for allegedly fathering three other children: daughter Aris with Daja (born September 2023), son Amir with Ally D (born October 2023), and daughter Aubri’ Summers with Ayesha Howard (born October 14, 2024).
The legal battle with Howard began in October 2024 when Edwards filed a lawsuit in Georgia to establish paternity and child support. Howard, who also shares a son, Jason, with rapper Lil Baby, countered in February 2025 by filing to have the case heard in California. She claimed in documents that she and Edwards "spent time together in various cities while he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves and during his off-season. In January 2024, [she] discovered that [she] was pregnant with his child.”
Howard also presented alleged text message screenshots, including one where she informed Edwards of her pregnancy, writing, “I’m pregnant… wanted to tell you in person but you gave me no other choice. We probably should have kept it cordial but we’re here now.” Edwards allegedly responded, “Ok lol. Get da abortion lol.”
In April 2025, the shooting guard agreed to grant Howard sole legal and physical custody of their daughter. Despite this agreement, the situation remained contentious.
