Prokhor Chaliapin has finally revealed his cards: after 18 years of "cold war," he and Philipp Kirkorov have buried the hatchet. The singer admitted that for many years he painfully experienced the breakup of relations with the pop king, but now all grievances are behind them.

"I am very glad that we have mended relations with Philipp," Chaliapin stated. "All these years, of course, I harbored resentment and spoke about it publicly. But at the same time, I always treated him with respect as a great artist, and sympathized with him when I saw that he was not feeling very well. I always had a warm attitude towards him, like a child, like a brother, despite the fact that we did not communicate."

The conflict, let us recall, has been ongoing since 2007. After "Fabrika Zvyozd-6," Kirkorov supported the young Chaliapin, but then, according to Prokhor, "the intrigues of two women" set the artists against each other. The apple of discord was Dima Bilan. At that time, 23-year-old Chaliapin overheard Kirkorov's conversation with producers, where it was discussed that Bilan should share his income with "Channel One," since the channel made him famous. What he heard shocked Chaliapin, and he, not keeping silent, temporarily became an outcast in musical circles.

Despite all this, Prokhor emphasizes that even the loudest statements did not negate his respect for the People's Artist. "Strangely enough, we both took a step towards each other. I am an empathetic person, and Philipp Kirkorov is more grandiose than I am. Accordingly, if I had approached him and he had turned away, it would have been an unpleasant blow for me. But it turned out that we simultaneously decided to reconcile. I regard this on Philipp's part as magnanimity. He understood that I was well-disposed towards him," the performer explained.

Chaliapin admits that he has rethought a lot over the years. If earlier he openly spoke about resentment and believed that colleagues deliberately cut off his oxygen, now he believes that everyone was simply minding their own business. "Philipp's career was always at its peak, and I think he didn't particularly remember me. Probably, in his place, I would have behaved the same way. I don't blame him for anything at all, I understand his workload, he simply didn't have time. He was busy with his own affairs and lived a rich, vibrant life. Today, there is no reason for us to divide anything. It's time to mend relations," Chaliapin added.

The singer notes that today he looks at the events of past years differently and no longer sees the point in looking back and looking for culprits. "I am not offended by fate. God has his own plans for each of us. My time has come today, so it was meant to be, and not at 25, as I wanted. But why should we now pretend that we don't notice each other, not greet each other, if we know each other perfectly well? Why not remove this negativity?" Prokhor concluded.
