The terrible fall of 66-year-old Dmitry Dibrov from a staircase in an elite nightclub on Kosygin Street has been embellished with unexpected and extremely piquant details. We are sharing new details of the story of how the showman was injured during a party in the capital.

Dmitry Dibrov is currently in Botkin Hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with a concussion, and also recorded multiple abrasions and hematomas on his forehead and nose. As it turned out, the showman sustained the injuries under very delicate circumstances: the doyen of Russian TV was trying to charm two young women.

Dibrov enticed the first lady in a distinctly cultured manner — he immediately offered her to go to his mansion in Rublyovka to discuss Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel "The Brothers Karamazov" in private. The showman's companion replied that she was at the club with a friend, to which Dmitry generously invited both of them. The beauties agreed and headed for the exit. However, on the staircase, the TV presenter suddenly lost sight of one of his companions. The showman sharply shouted: "Where is the child?" (referring to the second girl), abruptly turned back, stumbled on the steps, and tumbled down. Security immediately ran up to the unconscious artist and called an ambulance.

The most interesting thing is that the very Dostoevsky enthusiast, whom Dibrov offered to talk to privately, was at that moment holding the presenter's personal belongings and phones. She calmly approached his personal bodyguards, handed them the gadgets, and then hailed a taxi and went home.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the showman will be back in action quickly. If the alarming information about a brain injury is confirmed, Dibrov could be on sick leave for three weeks to several months. This discouraging prognosis was shared by otolaryngologist Vladimir Knyazkov. "If a concussion is confirmed, he may stay in the hospital for up to three weeks. If it's a brain contusion, such patients are observed for two to three months. A soft nasal fracture, if that's what it is, lasts for 21 days. During this time, a reposition needs to be done while the bones are soft. The procedure itself lasts 20-30 minutes. Based on its results, a plaster bandage is applied, and the patient is discharged home. If there are no other injuries, there is no need to stay in the hospital in this case," said Dr. Knyazkov.
