Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly making significant arrangements for their wedding in New York City. City Hall confirmed to The Post on Wednesday that a permit application was submitted to the city’s Street Activity Permit Office, covering July 2 to July 4. This permit, filed in June by Winick Productions, requests street closures around Madison Square Garden (MSG) and the setup of a public tent outside the venue, expected to accommodate between 500 and 999 attendees. A source familiar with the event indicated to The Post that trucks would likely use 33rd Street for loading and unloading.

The couple is taking "extreme measures" for their July 3 wedding at MSG. City Hall verified to The Post that the permit application was filed with New York City’s Street Activity Permit Office for the July 2-4 dates. GC Images was the first to report this news. When contacted, Winick Productions offered no comment. Additionally, a source informed Page Six that Kansas City Chiefs players have made reservations at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown around the wedding date. Page Six has reached out to representatives for both Swift and Kelce for comment.

Page Six previously broke the news that Swift and Kelce, both 36, would tie the knot over Independence Day weekend. The guest list is rumored to include celebrities such as Zoë Kravitz, Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, and Selena Gomez. Insiders recently told Page Six that Los Angeles-based celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed has been working on Swift and Kelce’s MSG wedding "for months." Notably, MSG’s calendar shows no events scheduled from June 29 through July 6. A source confirmed to Page Six that Kansas City Chiefs players have booked rooms at the Marriott Marquis around the wedding date.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani recently commented at a press conference that the city is capable of handling "big events," specifically mentioning "Taylor Swift’s wedding." Swift and Kelce are not the first couple to choose MSG as a wedding venue. Funk legend Sly Stone famously married Kathy Silva there in 1974, requiring guests to wear gold. In 1982, Reverend Sun Myung Moon of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification hosted a mass wedding at MSG for 2,075 couples. Swift herself has performed at MSG multiple times, including for her “Speak Now” and “Fearless” tours, as well as several Jingle Ball appearances.

The "Shake It Off" singer and the NFL player, who got engaged in August 2025, initially planned a more intimate ceremony. However, Page Six reported in November 2025 that they decided to "go all out" with a larger guest list. Last weekend, Swift celebrated her bachelorette party in Miami, while Kelce had his bachelor party in Las Vegas with his closest friends.
